Magnetic Boots & Bands

Magnetic boots for horses are reputed to help promote healing and recovery and reduce inflammation. They do this primarily by encouraging good circulation which helps to provide nutrients to the tissue, removes waste products and reduces fluid accumulation. 

Magnets should be placed on the site of injury for the greatest benefit, taking care to check for broken skin. A magnetic stable boot provides both magnetic therapy and support for the structures of the lower limb. A favourite product of ours are Kentucky’s Recuptex Bandage Pads which provide consistent all-over magnetic therapy alongside full bandaging capabilities. They can also be used inside a stable boot if you prefer not to bandage.

EQU Streamz are a relative newcomer, they provide a spinning magnetic field that is designed to be more suited to wearing for long periods of time.

Magnetic boots for horses can be used for long periods and left overnight if required. They can be helpful in both warming the tissue up before work, and helping to aid recovery and circulation afterward. Magnetic bands for horses can potentially be used for more prolonged periods as they are loose fitting, but do check to ensure that they are not rubbing.
